Footsteps Dance Academy has designed a wonderful pre-school dance program. We pay particular attention to the instruction of the very young students aged 3 to 6 and for young students 6 to 10. Pre-school aged students are offered Ballet, Tap and creative movement.
As they progress along in years and experience we lengthen the class time, increase technical expectations and are able to add Jazz and Irish- Introduction classes as the child is ready.
Teachers for this age group are trained personally by Footsteps' Artistic Director, Kelley Taylor and must display a love for children of this age, be Junior Member's of Dance Master's of America and complete a minimum one full year of student teaching under her watchful eye. Additionally they must complete her pre-school teacher's training program that is filled with fan and creative ways to introduce the very young child to the beauty of dance. This insures that the environment created at Footsteps for the very young child will be one where the joy of dance, fun and learning just seem to come naturally.
