Footsteps Dance Academy was founded
in 1997 by Bill & Kelley Taylor. They're goal is to offer professional dance
instruction that is technically correct without compromising the values
and standards set forth by today's more conservative families. With a strong
emphasis on classical ballet, Footsteps' primary goal is to strengthen their
student's love of dance and ultimately the Arts. Through this process more
serious and dedicated students are offered more intense pre-professional
dance studies, that include multiple ballet classes each week, separate
tap and jazz classes, optional Irish classes in tandem with auditions for
Footsteps" performance company, Footsteps Irish Dancers and Footsteps Competitive
Dance team.
Casual and beginning dance students are taught in a nurturing and loving environment by Footstep's qualified teachers. As a member of Dance Master's of America, Kelley Taylor also offers the more serious student opportunity to travel regionally 4 to 6 times each year to take master classes with some of the World's most revered professional dance teachers. While this level of dance intensity is not for every Footsteps student, it is offered for those seeking a career in professional Ballet, Broadway or its related theatrical fields including Ministry performance.
Footsteps Dance Academy is located in the E.S.Adkins Business Center on North Salisbury Blvd in Salisbury, MD.
The Academy includes two state of the art studios with Marley floors, spacious family friendly waiting room, dressing rooms and fully stocked dance shop.
